At Ocean Freedom Surf School, our instructors aren’t just people who learned to surf a few years ago — we’ve been surfing since we were kids. Growing up on the waves of Nias, one of Indonesia’s true surf paradises, the ocean has been our playground since we were seven years old.
Our team brings a lifetime of real surf experience, combined with lifeguard training and water safety skills, to make sure every lesson is safe, fun, and professional.
While many surf schools in Bali rely on instructors who only learned to surf here and jumped straight into teaching, we’ve spent years perfecting our technique and understanding how to read the ocean — not just the waves. That’s why our lessons go deeper than just “standing up on the board.” We teach you how to truly connect with the sea, move with it, and build real confidence in the water.
